Rotary has a change of gavel, and a RI Foundation update

Congratulations to 2012-2013 Club President, Terry Engelken for a very successful year. Thank you for your service to the Club.

Terry handed over the gavel to new 2013-14 Club President, Becky Patterson. Becky has been a great volunteer and club leader for several years and we are looking forward to your Presidency!

Thank you to Kent Dallmeyer, a longtime RI Foundation supporter, for an update on how our contributions work, and what is done with them in District 6000 and around the World!

Thanks to all the Club members that are Paul Harris Sustaining Members, and to the Paul Harris Fellows!

The mission of The Rotary Foundation is to support the efforts of Rotarians as they strive to assist Rotary International in the fulfillment of the Object of Rotary and Rotary's mission.  That mission is the achievement of world understanding and peace through local, national and international humanitarian, educational, and cultural programs.

The Rotary Foundation was started in 1917 by Rotary International's sixth president, Arch C. Klumph.  The first donation was $26.50, the profit from the International Convention held in Kansas City, Missouri. The Rotary Foundation is a not-for-profit corporation that is supported solely by voluntary contributions from Rotarians and friends of the Foundation who share its vision of a better world.

The Rotary Foundation consists of three funds, which accept contributions from Rotarians; The Annual Programs Fund, The Permanent Fund, and The Restricted Gifts Fund.
