It was really interesting to hear from Cargill Pork's Jim Hinckley about the pork check-off, and farming and food production.
Jim Hinckley is a business development manager for Cargill Pork, a division of Cargill, Inc. Jim is based is Fairfield, Iowa, and is responsible for the company’s pork production sites in southeast Iowa and western Illinois.
Jim was a hog buyer with Excel Fresh Meats, a subsidiary of Cargill Inc., for 18 years before joining Cargill Pork. Jim began his career as a hog buyer for FDL Foods Inc., in Dubuque Iowa.
Jim graduated from Northeast Missouri State University (now Truman State University), Kirksville, Mo., in 1991 with a degree in agricultural business and was active in Alpha Gamma Rho, an agricultural fraternity.
